Assignment 2: "Can I really change my life?"by>Lauren Slater

The article I read was about a bulimic girl that change her life style ussing a method call Prochaska`s model.

This model is being used in a bullying-reduction program in Rhode Island middle schools, also depressives, alcoholics, gamblers, avereaters people, etc.

It has five stages of change:

1. Precontempletion: you not detect it until you are trough it

2. Contemplation: you decide to make a change.

3. Preparation: you do something for the change

4. Action: “enforced my own behaviour/reduction program”

5. Maintenance: you search new ways to keep the change

According to specialists: Massachusetts based addictions specialist Kathryn Divis says “There's no question that the stage based model is more succesfull”... work whit your patient where they're at while encouraging them to progress

In conclusion We can change what we do.
The important thing is how much you can change, not how or whether and Prochaska shows a path to do the change

I will prove the method and then I tell you about it.
